Easy Apple Cinnamon Bombs
I posted a picture of these delicious Apple Cinnamon Bombs a little while ago on Instagram when I whipped them up as a quick dessert. Well, they ended up being delicious and they were all gobbled up right away! So we decided we needed to make them again and write down the recipe to share with you all!
This is our a lot of our favorite recipes get started. I have had an abundance of apples since Fall due to my weekly organic produce delivery service, Full Circle, so I am always coming up with delicious new ways to use them. Such as in this easy Homemade Applesauce. These apple bombs are also great for getting children involved. Once you’ve made the filling they can help roll them up into balls and roll them in the cinnamon sugar, making this recipe a fun activity for the whole family!

This is actually a very simple and easy dessert thanks to pre-made pastry dough. These Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls
would work perfectly for this recipe! These croissant rolls are great because they can be used for all kinds of things both sweet and savory. I like to throw some leftovers in between two sheets with a little cheese and bake it like a homemade hot pocket. We call them Leftover Pockets
. Anyways, in this recipe they are rolled around some apple filling to make sweet and buttery dessert pastries.
As always, feel free to chef around and make this dish your own! You could swap the apple filling for another fall fruit such as pear, or anything else you feel like trying and it will be delicious. If you don’t mind using a pre-made pie filling you could use any of those as well to make this an even easier and more simple recipe!
Apple Cinnamon Bombs
1 pkg Croissant Dough
2 Apples, peeled and diced
1/3 cup Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp Butter
2 Tbsp White Sugar
1/4 Tsp Cinnamon, ground
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Mix together white sugar and cinnamon on a small plate and set aside.
Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once melted and starting to brown add apples and brown sugar. Cook until apples are caramelized and mixture starts to thicken, about 5-8 minutes. Remove apple mixture from heat and set aside.
Lay out your pastry triangles on a lined baking sheet. Put a dollop of the apple filling in the middle of the largest part of the triangle and wrap the pastry dough around it. Roll the pastry balls in the cinnamon-sugar mixture and place back on your baking sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Be careful as the filling will be very hot! Enjoy!
