Chocolate chip cookies are probably my favorite dessert of all time. Well it’s really close between them and brownies because they’re both chocolaty and delicious. I’ve tried countless different recipes for chocolate chip cookies and I enjoy all of them but I really wanted to come up with a (slightly) healthier recipe and create my own unique version. After a lot of trial and error I came up with a cookie recipe that cooks perfectly, has the right level of sweetness, and maintains a soft texture for days. The perfect chocolate chip cookie.
To be honest, this was the recipe that started it all. This was my first attempt at creating my own recipes from scratch, by trial and error, back in the days when I was just learning about nutrition but hadn’t yet shifted my focus to healthier foods. But the process and the idea behind this started the seed in me that eventually grew into Chefing Around. As a result, Heather and I have created wonderful and healthy recipes over the years. Creating these amazing cookies first sparked my interest in culinary creativity and I had no idea where that would take me, but I’m glad I started the journey.
